Mechanism of Action of Apretero 125mg/80mg (Aprepitant) Capsule:It is a NK1 antagonist, as it block’s signals given by NK1(Neurokinin) receptors.It inhibits both the acute and delayed emesis induced by cytotoxic chemotherapeutic drugs by blocking P landing on receptors in the brain’s neurons.It works by blocking the transmission of nerve signals between the vomiting centres and the brain.

Administration of Apretero 125mg/80mg (Aprepitant) Capsule:It is to be taken orally with or without food.Do not self-medicate the therapy.Take the dosage as directed by the physician.

Therapeutic Use of Apretero 125mg/80mg (Aprepitant) Capsule:It is an antiemetic medicine.It is used to prevent chemotherapy induced Nausea and Vomiting.It is also used in the prevention of postoperative Nausea and Vomiting in adults.
